Brondi: The New Independent Coffee Shop in Dorridge
No need for a 24-hour flight, Australia’s best coffee culture has just touched down in Brum. Inspired by the laid-back brunch spots of Eastern Australia, Brondi is bringing a slice of Down Under to Dorridge, one flat white at a time. And while the café itself is still a work in progress (there aren’t even chairs yet), that hasn’t stopped it from building a buzzing community before the doors even officially open.
Brondi Run Club
Surprising how many people turn up for a run club when there is free coffee..
I had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek by landing a spot on Sunday’s Brondi Run Club, an early glimpse into what this new coffee spot is all about. Good coffee, good people, and an active, welcoming vibe. With over 40 runners turning up for a steady 5km loop around Dorridge Park, the turnout was seriously impressive. Clearly, Brondi isn’t just here to serve coffee, it’s here to create a community.
Of course, no run club is complete without a post-run reward. The team put on an epic spread of pastries and, naturally, great coffee serving newground coffee beans, a promising sign of what’s to come when the it officially opens in March 2025.
More Than Coffee: Brondi Coffee and Kitchen Brings Jobs and a Fresh Hangout to Dorridge
Beyond the caffeine and carbs, Brondi is bringing something fresh to Dorridge. New jobs, a new hangout spot, and possibly, a great place to work from. Will it become a go-to remote working hub? That remains to be seen, but it’s a fantastic excuse to come back and find out.
If the pre-opening energy is anything to go by, Brondi is shaping up to be more than just another coffee shop, it’s a community in the making. Stay tuned for the grand opening. I’ll be there, laptop in tow!
